Sustainability pathway

Tabu is the first Italian company in the wood industry to declare the environmental impact of its production processes. Continuing on the path to achieve climate neutrality, the 2023 CO2 emissions generated have been fully offset.

TABU has embarked on a sustainability journey with concrete actions, such as carbon footprint analysis and reduction of environmental impact along the supply chain. Offsets residual emissions with carbon credits and voluntarily draws up a sustainability report. The company actively contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals by promoting a responsible and innovative model.

Sustainability Audit and Emissions Analysis

TABU initiated a sustainability audit to map ESG issues, identifying the company's distinctive elements and comparing itself to the market. Next, a corporate carbon footprint analysis was conducted according to the UNI EN ISO 14064:2019 methodology to measure the impact of activities in terms of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Sustainability Plan and Reduction Interventions.

Based on the data collected, TABU developed a plan to reduce environmental impact throughout the production chain. The company has implemented projects to optimize resource use, focusing on material recovery and the use of reclaimed raw materials to decrease environmental impacts.

Emissions Compensation and Sustainability Report

To achieve climate neutrality, TABU annually offsets residual CO2 emissions and through carbon credits from renewable energy projects. The company prepares a sustainability report to document its commitment to responsible practices and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goals 9, 12 and 13.
