“Tékhne. Art, skill, and ‘know-how’ guided by precise rules. From the intuitions of Marcello Morandini to the experimentations of Bruno Munari”

A project that explores the deeper meaning of the word tékhne, understood as the meeting point between art and technique, between creative gesture and methodological rigor.

The project unfolds as a reflection on the value of rules—not as constraints, but as generative tools. Structures, methods, and principles become the ground on which creativity can express itself with greater awareness, giving rise to outcomes that are coherent, measured, and at the same time open to experimentation.

Tékhne thus takes shape as a dynamic balance between discipline and freedom, tradition and innovation, knowledge and design. An approach that values process as much as the final result, restoring centrality to making as both a cultural and productive act.

The project is developed in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano – School of Design and is supported by the Fondazione Marcello Morandini and the Fondazione Bruno Munari.
